Bloodfest Short Film Challenge asks classes make a 5 min short film in the Horror (or sub Horror Genre.)
Up for grabs are Industry Prizes and a chance to see your film at EVENT cinemas Bondi Junction during Halloween week as part of Bloodfest Film Festival Red Carpet Gala 2019.

The cost to enter your class is A$500 which includes entry of 3 films into the completion and a 1.5 hr face to face PD with a Bloodfest Teaching Artist to coach you with the basics of taking Shakespeare to the screen.  This includes training you in the screenplay format, the genre, storyboarding, shooting basics & editing.

We will give you the skills to creatively lead your class with absolute confidence, and the opportunity to see your film on a commercial cinema screen.

Below are some examples of how you can use themes, plots and topics from the Bard to springboard ideas to make you short film.

Your students will craft Shakespeare's verbal poetry into visual poetry.  The film genre allows students the chance to  deconstruct, infer, objectify, problem solve, critically think and evaluate. Students also learn as part of the film making process Logistics, Conflict | Resolution in teams, Creativity, Teamwork and Collaboration.
