Charlotte is in her final year of primary school in Sydney's Inner West and is super excited to be heading to High School next year. Charlotte lived in Singapore from age 6-10 and has a passion for Asian food and travel. Whilst she enjoyed her expat life Sydney is definitely home and she likes having four seasons of weather again. Charlotte enjoys all different types of movies and television but says she doesnt like to watch the real life horrors on the local news but rather she likes to escape into make believe stories. She likes the excitement of a good scare like "Goosebumps" Charlotte enjoys aerial silks, Gymnastics, cheerleading, ballet and contemporary dance. She loves to write lyrics and play the piano. Alexander McIntyre | Film Stylist
Alexander has experience both in front and behind the camera. Most recently during his time in London Alexander worked for numerous magazines as their stylist (Majestic Disorder, Elle, Harpers Bazar) and modelled/acted for Nick Knight's short fashion film which was nominated by Vogue for "Best Fashion Short of 2016". Alexander has been published in magazines in the UK, Canada, USA and Europe for his work as a model and stylist. Lauren Clair is a film and television actress. A graduate of Masters of Screen Writing at Australian Film Television and Radio School. Her major interest is the horror genre and contemporary Australian horror coupled with the female anti hero. Ms Clair has starred in recent films Matching Jack and Welcome Millions. She has also recently wrapped a new Australian thriller Indigo Lake. For television; Packed to the Rafters, Janet King, Lovechild and Rake. She was nominated for a Logie in Underbelly. Ms Clair's love of horror started at a young age when she fell in love with Poltergeist - she currently is writing two new Australian horror features. |

Rowan Woods is a director of TV and feature films and Head of Directing at the Australian Film Television and Radio School – AFTRS. Rowan Woods’ feature film debut THE BOYS starring Toni Collette and David Wenham was nominated for 9 AFI Awards, winning Best Director and selected in competition for the Berlin International Film Festival. Rowan Woods also directed LITTLE FISH starring Academy Award winner, Cate Blanchett and Hugo Weaving which was nominated for 13 AFI Awards, 11 FCCA Awards, 8 IF Awards, including Best Film and Best Director. Rowan Woods’ US feature FRAGMENTS starred Kate Beckinsale, Dakota Fanning, Guy Pearce, and Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker. In 2016, Rowan Woods was set-up director for the multi-award winning THE KETTERING INCIDENT – International Special Jury Prize winner at Series Mania. He was also awarded ADG Award for Best Direction in a Telemovie for THE BROKEN SHORE and has directed 4 series of multi-award-winning RAKE for ABC TV. Rowan Woods’ reputation as drama director is complemented by directing large-scale VFX-driven TV series including FARSCAPE, SPARTACUS and HUNTERS for Exec producer, Gayle Anne Hurd. Bella Merlino | Award Winning Film Maker
Bella is a student at Santa Sabina College Strathfield NSW and is 13 years of age. She is a multi award winner in Speech and Drama. In 2015, Bella was the Audience Choice Winner in the My Story My Content short film competition held by ATOM and IP Awareness which was open to all school students throughout Australia and New Zealand. In 2016 and 2017, Bella was the Best Film Junior Winner in the REELise Film Festival with the Festival attracting entries from throughout Australia and Overseas. |
GENEXT Youth Committee
GENEXT Youth Committee is a small, diverse group of young people, who develop and deliver programs for their peers at the MCA. The Museum of Contemporary Art GENEXT Youth Advisory Committee will also be part of deciding this years Bloodfest finalists, as well as curating a selection of your films as part of GENEXT: Sun Xun on 9 October. GENEXT is the MCA’s flagship event for young people aged 12–18 years. The Youth Committee is made up of approximately 20 young people, aged 13–17 years, from all over greater Sydney and is recruited annually. This energetic group brings a diverse range of experiences, ideas and insights to the MCA. As well as developing, promoting and running our flagship youth event, the Youth Committee also acts as a critical advisory body for the Museum on issues affecting young people. The Youth Committee actively and proudly promotes an inclusive youth audience across all their programs. The Youth Committee meets every 2 or 3 weeks and is supported by MCA Young Creatives Coordinator and MCA artist educators. |
Danielle O'Keefe | Spooky Music Creator
Danielle O'Keefe has worked in the arts for over 15 years establishing a reputation as one of the country’s leading youth arts creators. After finishing her studies in 2003 in London, Danielle returned to Sydney to conduct the Australian Youth Choir (AYC) and held that post until 2012 when she left to work in Outback Australia. Simultaneous to conducting the AYC, Danielle worked with companies such as the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP), Sydney Chamber Opera (SCO), The Australian Institute of Performing Arts (AIPA), Brent Street and PACT to create exciting works for and with young people and music. Alongside her work with young people. Since returning to Sydney from her post as Artistic Director of Outback Theatre for Young People, she has been working with large ensembles of girls and women, and is now formalising a cross-age female ensemble to work together across a variety of projects. |
